Gloria teaches all the classes at RVY. She began practicing yoga about 20 years ago. Initially, her practice was inconsistent, and she primarily used yoga to recover from other forms of intense exercise. As time went on, she found herself feeling over-stressed and plagued by anxiety due to her job. She explored various methods to manage her stress, but many of them offered little to no relief.
Eventually, Gloria turned to yoga again and discovered its stress-relief benefits through its emphasis on mindfulness. This newfound understanding sparked her curiosity about the broader offerings of yoga. She committed to a 200-hour teacher training program. During her training, she deepened her knowledge of the physical and spiritual benefits of asana practice. More importantly, she learned about the significance of living yoga off the mat, which proved to be a transformative experience for her.
Gloria also specializes in Yin and Restorative Yoga. With additional certifications in breath-work, meditation, and sound healing, she brings a holistic approach to each session, ensuring personalized attention and support. She hopes to provide her students with the opportunity to nurture their bodies, minds, and spirits through yoga.
